The National Design Academy is offering a unique opportunity for an outstanding interior designer (with or without teaching qualifications) to train as an Interior Design Tutor & Advisor in Dubai. The role will involve the delivery of studio based Diploma courses and support online degree students in the region. Full training will be given.
An excellent and positive telephone manner is required as the role also involves providing Advice to students, explaining courses and entry requirements to those who inquire by telephone. Excellent spoken and written English is essential for this role.
The NDA is a not for profit Foundation and is the UK's leading Interior Design School, training more Interior Design graduates than any other UK University. This varied role will include supporting and assessing our online and studio based students to successfully achieve their interior design qualifications. The role will also include assisting and delivery of studio courses at Diploma level in Dubai and providing advice to students who inquire by telephone. The trainee tutor will also be trained to teach and assess on all courses delivered by NDA including Diploma, BA (Hons) and, for those who have a Master's Degree, on our Master's Degree programme.
Immediate Vacancy:
Initial Salary whilst training 9- 12k AED/Mn + dependent upon qualifications and experience
Qualifications required:
Master's Degree in Interior Design or BA (Hons) Interior Design ( or 1st) Excellent standard of written and spoken English is essential. Teaching qualifications an advantage but not essential as Full training will be given.
Personal Requirements:
• Have a high degree BA (Hons) or an MA in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or similar.
• Have excellent CAD skills
• Have industry experience
• Have excellent written and spoken English
• Be passionate about design and have excellent interpersonal skills to assist students
• Have excellent communication skills and an excellent standard of written English.
• Have excellent organisational and record keeping skills
• A Certificate in Education or other teaching qualification would be an advantage though not essential as full training will be given.
