Responsibility
- Create high quality sushi including maki, nigari and sashimi.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing ;
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the ;
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and/or personal ;
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation ;
- Monitor food quality while preparing ;
- Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with ;
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years experiences in the same role with preferable previous experiences in a five star hotel
- Broad knowledge of Japanese raw and dry ingredients.
- Good command of English plus excellent presentation & communication skills
- Hands-on professional with a solid culinary background and the passion for quality and excellence
