Job details
The organization has two manufacturing units and six retail stores in UAE. The company has both distribution and retail model. The business has grown over the last few years and has adopted an expansion strategy for the retail model both for new markets and new stores.
The Finance Controller reports to the CEO and contributes to the overall success of the organization by effectively managing all financial tasks, overseeing budgeting and accounting. Current accounting team is of six employees
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare Annual Budgets and review forecasts every quarter; Assist in the development of new business plans or investment proposals and provide Leadership team with financial information for decision making
- Prepare and present monthly and year end financial reports for the CEO and Business unit COO's accurate P&L's and Balance Sheets for each operating entity
- Manage cash flows and working capital to maximize benefit to the Indu Group; Prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and petty cash
- Lead the bookkeeping function, using the in-house accounting package including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Min 3 - 5 years experience in retail or manufacturing industry
- Qualified Accountant with excellent prior Financial Controller experience
- Experience in a Manufacturing/Energy Sector background is beneficial
- Ability to take ownership of the financial function
- Strong finance and financial reporting skills are essential
- Ability to operate at a senior level with a proven track record of strategic thinking
