Under the supervision of the agency's Creative Director and the Management, the Creative Copywriter will develop creative concepts and content for diverse audiences and a variety of media (web, digital, print, radio, TV, etc.) to deliver multiple communication materials for defined sets of corporate and marketing needs and segments.

The Creative Copywriter must be able to manage numerous projects simultaneously, from concept to completion. The content created will be developed to meet clients' objectives, be in line with the clients' brand voice and inspire the agency with innovative thinking and superior writing style.


Primary Responsibilities


Creative

• Take the brief from the Creative Director - and from the Account Manager, as required - to understand the requirements and client's objectives

• Understand and identify the "big idea" and deliver on it repeatedly; thoroughly grasp the clients' brand culture and tone of voice to create impactful corporate, marketing and advertising materials and maintain a consistent spirit across the brands

• In partnership with the Creative Director - and Marketing Team as required - conceptualize and develop exceptional creative content; align closely with the clients' corporate and marketing objectives to ensure that strategic goals are met

• For some specific clients, collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and present creative themes and messaging in order to complement visual concepts across many platforms, including websites, emails, social media and marketing materials

• Think creatively to develop new concepts, copy, slogans, names, etc. - in coordination with the Creative Director - to meet the client's needs

• Create company, service, product, promotion and contest names

• Pro-actively present ideas, and creative content options to the Creative Director, as well as to the Account Manager and other members of the team, as required

• Translate key themes and benefits into original, persuasive and actionable copy for a variety of media and special events including, but not limited to websites and targeted e-mails; sales and promotional collateral; print, radio and web ads; direct mail; incentives; internal meetings, etc.

• Continue to gain knowledge of industry best practices through ongoing training, up-skilling, etc. to continuously enrich skills for self-development and contribute more towards JRA's growth and success

• Perform other tasks to provide support to projects including, but not limited to, proofreading and copy corrections

• Keep abreast of the latest trends in content, especially for digital (web and social media)



General / Overall

• Report to the Creative Director and other superiors and maintain smooth communication amongst all team members for an organized and systematic work plan and flow (project development, timelines, results)

• Maintain consistently high standards of writing

• Help to ensure the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns and projects to assure fulfillment of goals for both the clients and JRA

• Attend internal meetings to get a clear understanding of the project brief

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop campaigns and strategies as per client needs

• Make recommendations on the use of new and emerging trends in creative content, marketing content, digital content and social media content

• Conduct market research to have a clear understanding of the market, especially the industry of existing clients, their competition, consumers and other relevant information

• Assist in preparing strategic and creative proposals/presentations by providing content, making recommendations, etc. as required

• Perform other duties as required to build business for clients and support JRA's operations
