Job Summary:
The role of the Shadow Teacher (ST) / Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is to provide support to autistic child on one-on-one basis in school. The ST/LSA will support the teachers in enhancing the effective involvement of the child in his/her academic and social development.
Requirements:
• Educational background in special needs education - experience in work with children with autistic spectrum disorder - developed empathy and understanding of child's needs.
Preference will be given to people who have had experience working with children, experience working within or volunteering within a primary school, have strong written and spoken English
• Previous work experience with children in special education needs will be an advantage
• Candidates applying for this position MUST be sponsored by their spouse/father as this is a local contract
